Patricia’s practice focuses on assessing the patentability of new technologies, preparing and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, providing strategic advice, performing prior art and freedom to operate searches and portfolio management including for due diligence purposes.
Her work experience is in most areas of chemistry with a specialty in organic chemistry, in particular in small molecule therapeutics. She also has experience in the areas of agriculture, food chemistry, formulations, catalysts, polymers, materials, nanotechnology and drug delivery. She works with all types of clients including small startups, universities, research hospitals and multi-national companies.
Patricia has worked in house as a medicinal chemist and as a patent manager for a small biopharmaceutical company and a leading Canadian university. She enjoys working with the scientists to protect their important research and, by doing so, staying at the forefront of chemistry knowledge and understanding.
