Olivia Ciotka is a summer student in Smart & Biggar’s Ottawa office. She is currently completing her Juris Doctor at Western University.
Olivia is currently working as the Associate Editor of the Canada-United States Law Journal. Before beginning her legal studies, she worked as a Research Assistant on an air filtration project in a start-up environment. She also has experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Olivia’s interest in IP was sparked while conducting prior art searches for designs during her work as a Research Assistant. She is passionate about fostering innovation through IP protection and wants to support others in this endeavour. She looks forward to engaging with a wide spectrum of IP issues as a summer student at Smart & Biggar.
