Mandy is an articling student in our Ottawa and Toronto offices. She completed her Juris Doctor at the Toronto Metropolitan University’s Lincoln Alexander School of Law.

In her first year of law school, Mandy received a fellowship award from the National General Counsel Network, which allowed her to work closely with an in-house counsel team. During her third year, she expanded her legal work experience with the legal services branch of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Mandy was also a part of a team that helped to establish the first French Common Law course and French mooting opportunity in a Toronto-based law school.

Prior to completing her legal studies, Mandy published five papers related to her graduate studies on the neuroscience of drug addiction. She received the Institute of Medical Science Entrance Award for academic achievement and the Vision Science Research Program Award and a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council Scholarship for her research proposals. The latter scholarship provided her with training in technical research skills related to cell manufacturing and biomaterials.

Mandy is thrilled to return to the firm as an articling student. Her rewarding experience as a summer student and the firm’s supportive culture greatly deepened her appreciation of intellectual property law.
