Josh’s practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property litigation including patent and technology related litigation and disputes over trademark rights and copyright. Josh has considerable experience as trial counsel spanning all areas of intellectual property in the Federal Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal and in the courts of the Province of Ontario.

Josh has had the opportunity to represent a diversity of clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to large multinational corporations. Josh has handled cases involving a wide range of technologies including oilfield services, polymer science, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, mechanical devices and construction equipment. On the trademark side, Josh represents clients in defending the distinctiveness of their brands and in enforcing their valuable registered and common law rights.

Josh is actively involved in several professional organizations and is recognized by a number of legal ranking organizations, including Benchmark Litigation, Best Lawyers, and IAM Patent 1000. Who’s Who Legal describes Josh as extremely personable, diligent and responsive, and a highly sought-after patent litigator. Josh’s writing addresses many areas of intellectual property law and civil procedure with a recurring interest in monetary remedies.
