Currently, pursuant to section 30(i) of the Trademarks Act, the Trademarks Office will raise an objection to certain specific services. For example, if an application includes the services " banking services," the Examiner will require confirmation that the applicant complies with the Bank Act. The Trademarks Office is seeking comments as to whether or not the current practice should be changed or abolished.
