Smart & Biggar partners hailed as “highly experienced,” “highly respected”, “skilled” and “one of the strongest trademarks experts” by Who’s Who Legal: Trademarks 2020

Smart & Biggar is pleased to share that three partners are listed in the Who’s Who Legal: Trademarks 2020 guide as being among the world’s leading lawyers in trademarks.

Montreal partner Christian Bolduc has been recommended for trademarks in Who’s Who Legal since 2011. Peers and clients describe him as “highly experienced” in handling a wide range of trademark matters, including trademark litigation and enforcement, and trademark opposition and cancellation procedures. 

Based in Ottawa, partner Philip Lapin is known as a “highly respected name among peers”. His practice is focused on trademarks and brand protection, trademark prosecution and portfolio. Philip first appeared in the guide in 2015.

Toronto managing partner, Mark Evans has been recognized in the guide since 2012. He is noted as being “a skilled trademark practitioner and litigator,” and hailed as “one of the strongest trademarks experts” in the market. 

In addition to his listing in the trademark guide, Mark is also featured in Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders – Global Elite 2020 among the most eminent practitioners across multiple practice areas. All individuals listed in Thought Leaders – Global Elite 2020 obtained the highest number of nominations from peers, corporate counsel and other market sources in Who’s Who Legal’s 2020 recent research cycle.
