Canada’s Intellectual Property Firm

Smart & Biggar sponsors the IPIC 2022 Annual Conference

Smart & Biggar is proud to provide our continued support for the upcoming Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) Annual Conference, which is taking place in person on September 28 – 30, 2022. This year’s IPIC conference, “Intersection of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) with Intellectual Property”, will be hosted in Whistler, BC for members of the IP law community across Canada.

As part of the conference program, we are pleased to participate as a Gold Session Sponsor on Thursday, September 29, where Smart & Biggar’s Kwan T. Loh will join a panel of peers to discuss “Beyond trademarks: Branding from a broader perspective,” providing insights on branding issues that fall outside of trademarks.

Among conference attendees, Smart & Biggar will also be represented by Vancouver based associate Emily Miller. Emily’s practice spans both litigation and transactional matters involving patents, copyright and trademarks.

We wish the organizing committee at IPIC and all of the speakers and attendees a successful conference.  The full program, speaker line up and registration details are available online.

The Intellectual Property Institute of Canada is a professional association of patent agents, trademark agents and IP lawyers in Canada. IPIC's mission is to enhance our members’ expertise as trusted intellectual property advisors and to shape a policy and business environment that encourages the development, use, and value of intellectual property in Canada.
