Smart & Biggar’s Oliver Stone joins UK colleagues at the CIPA Congress in London

Smart & Biggar partner Oliver Stone will attend the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents (CIPA) Congress 2018 on Thursday, September 27th in London, UK.

Oliver, who is a European Patent Attorney and UK Chartered Patent Agent, will meet with peers in the UK patent industry to discuss the IP issues that professionals face in their daily working lives, including the future role of AI in the patent system, ethics in intellectual property, design application inadequacies and other hot topics. 

The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) is the professional and examining body for patent attorneys in the United Kingdom. It represents 2383 chartered patent attorneys, whether they practise in industry or in private practice. Total membership is around 4000 and includes trainee patent attorneys and other professionals with an interest in intellectual property matters.
