Guillaume Lavoie Ste-Marie has returned from his articles to join our office as an associate. Guillaume’s practice focusses on litigation in the fields of trademarks, patents and industrial designs. He holds a BComm (Finance, with Great Distinction) and a B.C.L./LL.B from . He is also a Registered Trademark Agent and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2013.

Jennifer Ponton (née Webb) has returned from her articles to join our office as an associate. Jennifer’s practice focusses primarily on trademarks, including prosecution, clearance and opposition matters. She is also involved in litigation matters covering all areas of intellectual property law. She holds a B.M.Sc. Hons. (Biochemistry and Cell Biology) from the of and a J.D. from of . She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014.

Jeffrey Slater has joined our office as a technical consultant. Jeffrey’s practice focusses on assisting clients with obtaining patent protection for electrical, computer, mechanical and software-related inventions. He also advises clients on issues relating to patentability, patent validity and infringement. He holds a B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering) from the of and is a member of the and Electronics Engineers.

Daniel Whalen has returned from his articles to join our office as an associate. Daniel’s practice focusses on litigation relating to patents, trademarks, industrial designs and copyright. He also works to enforce trademarks and copyrights on the Internet, including domain name recovery and online content recovery. He holds a B.Sc. Hons. (Biochemistry) from Queen’s University and a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014.
