Smart & Biggar receives Managing Intellectual Property's highest ranking in all practice areas in 2022

Smart & Biggar is proud to share that we have been recognized as a Tier 1 firm in all practice areas (trademark contentious, trademark prosecution, patent contentious, patent prosecution and copyright & related rights) in Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) IP Stars, Canada 2022.

In their most recent release of firm rankings for copyright and related rights 2022, MIP IP Stars has revealed Smart & Biggar’s leading position as a Tier 1 firm, matching our Tier 1 standing in all other practice areas. Affirming our leading position in the Canadian market, Smart & Biggar was named Canada’s “IP Boutique Firm of the Year 2022” for the third consecutive year, marking the eighth win in this category for the firm since its inception of the MIP Awards. The firm was also recognized with “Firm of the Year” awards this year for both Trademark Contentious and Patent Prosecution in Canada.

The 2022 rankings cover over 30 jurisdictions and recognize the leading firms in trademark contentious, trademark prosecution, patent contentious, patent prosecution and copyright & related rights.
