Four Smart & Biggar partners ranked among the best of the best as WTR Global Leaders
Smart & Biggar is pleased to share that four partners have been listed among the world’s most notable trademark practitioners in the second edition of World Trademark Review (WTR) Global Leaders. Congratulations to Christian Bolduc, Mark Evans, François Guay and Philip Lapin on this distinguished recognition.
Earlier this year, each of these partners were named in WTR 1000 The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals, recognizing the top Trademark practitioners in private practice. In the guide Smart & Biggar’s Trademark practice was praised for being “in full stride” and “laying down a marker as the leading IP boutique in the trademark space”. The firm was also honoured with a gold tier ranking.
WTR Global Leaders are recognized as the “best of the best” lawyers for Trademarks. Clients and colleagues acclaimed the strengths and accomplishments of each of our Global Leaders:
Christian Bolduc (Transactions, Prosecution and Strategy): Known for being one of the firm’s “strongest trademark practitioners.”
Mark Evans (Enforcement and Litigation, Prosecution and Strategy, Anti-counterfeiting): Noted as having an “excellent reputation” and being “at the top of his game.” Mark is also described as “Aggressive but effective, he is a solid litigator, extremely smart, experienced and incredibly accomplished.”
François Guay (Enforcement and Litigation): Revered as a “seasoned litigator in the Canadian IP arena.”
Philip Lapin (Prosecution and Strategy): Praised alongside Christian Bolduc as being “a dream pair” with trademarks “knowledge that is vastly respected.”
WTR Global Leaders draws on market-leading research projects, the WTR 1000 and WTR 300, to identify the ‘best of the best’ in private and corporate trademark practice.
