Jean-Sébastien Dupont is an accomplished IP litigator and leader of the firm’s litigation team. Focusing on intellectual property litigation in the areas of patents, copyright and trademarks, he is involved in all aspects of litigation from preparing and initiating new court proceedings to bringing complex cases to trial. He has represented clients before the Québec Superior Court, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Jean-Sébastien’s most notable matters involve Canadian and international companies across industries, including media (Québecor, Rogers Media, Bell Media), advanced materials (Tekna), tobacco (Imperial Tobacco Canada), hockey equipment and apparel (Bauer Hockey), transport (Canadian National Railway, Air Canada) and construction (Lainco).
Graham Hood is a seasoned IP litigator and leader of the firm’s trademarks team. Graham's litigation practice covers both the Federal and the provincial courts and extends to actions and summary applications for passing off, trademark and trade dress infringement, depreciation of goodwill and the importation, distribution, marketing and sale of counterfeit goods. His most notable work includes successfully representing clients in trademark infringement matters across multiple industries, including direct selling and consumer packaged goods (Pampered Chef), food and beverage (Grupo Bimbo and Lindt), consumer electronics (Nintendo) and restaurant services (Osmow’s Grill).
