Experienced patent agent protects biotech and pharma innovations
An accomplished biochemist with a Ph.D in biochemistry prior to transitioning to patent law, Sally has extensive technical expertise and more than 15 years of experience securing patent protection in the fields of biotechnology, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Sally drafts and prosecutes patent applications in Canada, the United States and internationally. She also directs prosecution in jurisdictions including Europe, China, Japan and Australia, and has provided technical assistance in pharmaceutical litigation matters.

Sally combines her biochemistry experience with a deep understanding of patent law to draft applications relating to a wide range of biochemical and chemical technologies including polymers, biomaterials, food formulations, nutritional supplements, pharmaceuticals, organic chemicals, industrial chemical processes, agrochemicals, oil, gas and petrochemicals, medical devices, electrochemical and electrobiochemical devices, as well as therapeutic methods such as protein and nucleic acid-based technologies.
Sally has partnered with a diverse range of clients in Canada and around the globe including government research agencies, universities and research institutes, and chemical, pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
